Add a post to Link Trees
Add a post’s article link to one or more Link Trees without copying it into each composer.
Le contenu éditorial de cet article est actuellement disponible en anglais. La navigation du Centre d’aide est localisée.
Vue d’ensemble
Open Post Details and choose Add to Link Tree. The action is available when FoxLink is enabled, you can view the post and edit Link Trees, and the post has a supported link. It uses the post’s article destination or recorded Short Link, not an arbitrary replacement URL.
Choose trees and an image
- Open the post
Select it in Calendar or Content Search and check that its article link is the destination you intend to share.
- Choose Add to Link Tree
Search the available trees and select one or several draft or published trees. Archived trees are not offered for this action.
- Review existing memberships
A tree marked as already containing this post does not need another copy. Check similarly named trees carefully before selecting.
- Choose the preview
Select an offered image from the post media or article preview, or choose the no-image option. Image choices depend on what MediaFox can load and your media permissions.
- Confirm and inspect
Choose Add to the selected trees. Read the added and already-contained counts, then inspect the affected trees and public pages.
Published trees can change immediately
This shortcut is different from manually editing a draft and pressing Publish later. For a published tree, attaching the post also updates its published content. A draft tree remains a draft. Check your destinations before confirming; use the composer instead when you need to prepare and review a larger set of changes.
Missing action or failed result
Check the FoxLink add-on, Link Tree edit access, post visibility, and whether the post has a usable destination. An inaccessible or removed tree may no longer be eligible. After an uncertain result, reopen the picker and check existing memberships before retrying.
