Search by image

Find organization content using an image instead of a text query.

Overview

Image search first looks for image matches across accessible organization content. Your other active filters can then narrow the returned results.

Search with an image

  1. Choose an image

Open image search in Content Search and select a supported image smaller than 25 MB.

  2. Inspect matches

Wait for the search, then review the matching posts and any active page or date filters.

  3. Change or clear

Replace the reference image for another search or clear it to return to ordinary search.

Organization matches versus visible results

The image-match status can show a broader organization count than the visible filtered result count. Page, date, state, and other filters still narrow those matches. Clear filters when checking whether a known use was found.

Search stopped early

A widely reused image can trigger a notice that the search stopped early. Some older matches may be missing. Narrow the investigation with known pages, dates, caption words, or an article link, and do not treat the image result as a complete usage inventory for deletion or reporting.

Too few matches

The same image can have been uploaded more than once. Check the matching content rather than relying on one file’s library usage count. A rejected file needs a supported format or smaller size; renaming the extension does not convert it.

Availability and access

Availability depends on your organization access and assigned permissions.
