Overview

Drag-and-drop/file picker, images/video/audio support where applicable, upload status, retry, abort, and size/type errors. Core. Follow the steps below in order, then verify the result before moving on. Post Planner combines selected pages, content, media, platform settings, validation, and one or more publishing times.

Before you begin

Open this workflow with the account and organization that own the relevant data. MediaFox evaluates access at the time of each action, so a visible page does not always mean every control is editable.

If you are following this guide with a teammate, agree on the organization, page selection, date range, and intended result before either person saves changes.

  • Sign in and select the organization that owns the pages, content, users, or settings involved.
  • Open Post Planner in the organization navigation and clear unrelated filters before you begin.
  • This is a core MediaFox workflow. Organization page access and your assigned role can still limit what you see or change.

How to add media to a post

Work through the controls from top to bottom. Keep the current organization visible in the navigation and review inherited or existing values before replacing them.

  1. Open the correct workspace

Sign in to MediaFox, select the organization you want to work in, and open Post Planner in the organization navigation.

  2. Open the relevant action

Use the page controls to add media to a post. Read inherited values and warnings before changing anything.

  3. Drag-and-drop/file picker

Review drag-and-drop/file picker and choose the value that matches your intended result.

  4. Images/video/audio support where applicable

Review images/video/audio support where applicable and choose the value that matches your intended result.

  5. Upload status

    Upload status.

  6. Retry

    Retry.

  7. Abort

Review abort and choose the value that matches your intended result.

  8. Size/type errors

Review size/type errors and choose the value that matches your intended result.

  9. Review and confirm

Read any validation, permission, or confirmation message before saving. Continue only when the selected organization, pages, dates, and settings are correct for “Add media to a post”.

Check the result

The task is complete when the post is saved with the intended pages, content, settings, and lifecycle state. Reopen the item or refresh the list once to make sure the saved state is not only local to the current form.

For publishing, moderation, imports, exports, or background processing, also check the resulting lifecycle or activity state. A successful save can still be followed by platform processing, collection, or review.

  • Confirm the organization, page, item, and date or timezone shown in the result.
  • Look for a success message, updated status badge, activity entry, or changed timestamp.
  • Keep the item ID or public URL when another teammate needs to verify the result.

Troubleshooting

If the result is missing or an action is unavailable, do not assume the data was lost. MediaFox can hide controls because of role, page access, organization allowlists, add-ons, lifecycle state, or an external platform limitation.

  • Resolve every validation message for text, media, page selection, platform settings, and schedule time.
  • Confirm that every selected page is connected and that you have permission to create or edit posts.
  • For a failed publish, open the post details and review the platform response before retrying.

Availability and access

This feature does not require an add-on, although permissions or organization settings may still apply.
