Troubleshoot missing or stale data

Check scope and collection before treating an empty result as lost data.

Fonction principale

Le contenu éditorial de cet article est actuellement disponible en anglais. La navigation du Centre d’aide est localisée.

Vue d’ensemble

Data can be hidden by filters, delayed during collection, unavailable from a platform, or blocked by a connection issue. Start with a specific page and period.

Check in this order

  • Confirm organization, page, dates, timezone, and active filters.
  • Distinguish no results from a failed request and retry a failed panel.
  • Check the page’s connection health and required permissions.
  • Read metric availability and freshness notices, especially for new pages and bulk reports.
  • Check System Status for a relevant incident.

Match the recovery to the message

Preparing widget data is a background calculation, not an empty report; interrupted preparation can retry automatically with existing values preserved. A live Meta reach warning may show stored values while a complete live summary is unavailable. Follow a reconnection request, or use Retry live reach after a temporary failure. In Content Search, a partial-search warning means the visible matches may be incomplete.

Unavailable posts retain history

A Deleted or Unavailable post can still show its previously collected statistics even though automatic insight updates have stopped. Check the post state before expecting fresh figures or trying to publish another copy.

Provide a concrete example

Report the item or metric, exact period, expected result, actual result, and last time it looked correct. Avoid deleting and reconnecting a page to try to recover missing history.
