Link Tree terminology

Understand the lifecycle terms used for Link Trees and their public addresses.

Vue d’ensemble

A Link Tree is a public profile page containing destination items backed by Short Links. Its editable draft and published revision are separate.

Item: one destination card. Key and slug: generated and custom address identifiers.
Alias: another active or historical address for the tree.
Revision: a saved public version. Restoring publishes a new revision.
Archive: inactive library status that keeps the public page available.
Redirect: sends visitors elsewhere instead of showing the tree.
410 Gone: the permanent response for a retired or deleted identifier.

Archive is not a privacy switch, and retirement is not a reversible rename. Read the specific confirmation before changing public URLs.
