Hashtag, YouTube tag, MediaFox tag, and post category
Public hashtags, YouTube tags, and internal organization labels are different tools.

Vue d’ensemble
These labels can look similar but are stored and used in different places. Decide whether you want a public text label, platform metadata, or internal organization.
Four meanings
- Hashtag: public caption text beginning with #.
- YouTube tag: a value in YouTube’s dedicated tags field.
- MediaFox tag: an internal organization label for filtering and analysis.
- Post category: another organization-defined content grouping.
Example
A launch post can include #NewProduct publicly and an internal campaign tag for reporting. Adding only the internal tag does not insert that hashtag into the caption.
