Edit an internal media note
Add context that helps your teammates understand a shared file.

Vue d’ensemble
The media description is an internal note. Editing it does not change the image or video itself, or add text to a published post.
Update the note
- Open the item
Find the file in Media Library and open its details with post-edit access.
- Edit the description
Write useful context such as the campaign, intended crop, or version, then save.
- Check the saved value
Reopen the details to confirm the note is present.
Keep notes useful
Avoid putting passwords or other sensitive credentials in descriptions. If you need a different image, upload or select another file rather than describing a change that was never made.
