Overview
An S3 connection can fail because the entered ARN or bucket name is invalid, or because the role’s permissions and trust relationship do not permit the expected operation.
Check the setup
- Use the full Role ARN for the intended role, not a policy ARN or bucket URL.
- Check the exact bucket name and intended AWS account.
- Have your administrator review resource permissions and the trust relationship against the current connection guide.
- Review the displayed connection error before retrying.
After changing or removing access
Inspect export schedules that use the destination. Share the sanitized error and setup stage with support; do not send keys, session tokens, or credential-bearing configuration files.
