Permission reference: Posts
Understand viewing and editing access across publishing and content tools.
Overview
Post permissions apply across several features, including Calendar, Content Search, Post Planner, and Media Library. Add-ons and release availability are separate requirements.
Post access
- Post Viewer can inspect accessible posts and supported content views.
- Post Editor can create and edit eligible content and perform supported write actions.
- Media Library also needs its add-on; pre-release RSS and template tools need their own availability.
- Published or currently publishing posts can have locked fields even for editors.
Approval is distinct
Being able to edit content does not mean every review action is available. Ask an owner to check the intended approval role and current post state.
