Permission reference: Owner and Approver
Understand administrative responsibility and post approval access.
Overview
Owner and Approver serve different purposes. Owner provides broad organization administration; Approver supports the post-review process.
Role responsibilities
- Owner: manages sensitive organization settings, access, add-ons, and available audit tools.
- Approver: reviews submitted posts using the approval actions allowed by the workflow.
- Some interface labels use Admin for the organization-owner role; check the actual assigned role.
Assign deliberately
Give ownership only to people responsible for the workspace. Add approval access where a person needs to review content rather than assuming every editor or viewer should approve posts. Other feature and page restrictions can still matter.
Availability and access
Availability depends on your organization access and assigned permissions.
