Use different media per platform or page

Panoramica

Media variants follow a clear order: a page’s own selection takes priority over its platform’s selection, which takes priority over All. This lets two pages on the same platform use different images without changing every other destination.

Choose the right scope

   Prepare All

   Add the files most destinations should use in the shared All version.

   Set a platform version

   Choose the Platform override view, select a platform, and change its media when all pages on that platform need a different version.

   Set a page version

   Choose the Page override view, search for the intended page, and change only its selection. Check the page identity before uploading or removing files.

   Preview each destination

   Inspect the effective media, order, thumbnail, and validation. When page overrides and several destinations make the preview-page selector appear, choose the page to check. Switching override views preserves your other versions.

Read the status before editing

Shared default means you are editing All. Inherited from identifies the version supplying the destination. Own value means that destination has an explicit override. Editing inherited media creates a separate version; later changes to All do not automatically replace it.

Reset is different from removing files

Use Reset to remove an override and inherit again. An empty page-specific selection can deliberately mean no media; removing every file is not the same as resetting. Resetting a page can reveal a platform override rather than All, so check the new status and preview.
