Understand post states

Tell whether content is unfinished, waiting, publishing, or already published.

Core

Overview

A post’s state describes where it is in the workflow. Check it in Calendar, Content Search, or Post Details before editing, retrying, or deleting.

Common states

Draft: unfinished content saved for later.
In review: waiting for an approval decision.
Pending: queued for its publishing time.
Being posted: publication is in progress; wait before retrying.
Posted: MediaFox recorded publication.
Failed: publication needs investigation before a retry.
Deleted: the recorded deletion state; inspect the action result for what was removed.

Unavailable is not Failed

Unavailable means the post can no longer be accessed through its platform connection. It can appear with red status styling. It is not an invitation to retry publication: automatic insight updates stop, while previously collected statistics remain available. Investigate the original platform and connection before deciding whether new content is needed.

State and public visibility

Posted does not guarantee every future platform action is available. Deleted posts also retain previously collected insights without continued automatic updates. For an uncertain result, open the original social post and read the platform response in Post Details.

This feature does not require an add-on, although permissions or organization settings may still apply.
