Understand and refresh link previews

Inspect the links in a post and retry missing or stale preview information.

Core

Overview

The Overview tab in Post Details shows previews for the unique links found in the displayed post text, including supported first-comment fields. Each card’s Link found in labels identify where that URL appears. A preview is fetched website information, not proof that the social platform published the same card.

Check a preview

  1. Open Overview

Select the post in Calendar or Content Search, then find Link preview. Check the full destination and the field labels above each card.

  2. Review the metadata

Read the title, description, site, and image where available. The same URL found in several fields can appear once with several source labels.

  3. Refresh if needed

Choose Refresh preview to request current information. While it is loading, wait for the result instead of repeatedly clicking. Use Retry preview after a failure.

Preview unavailable or an image is missing

The destination may block automated requests, provide incomplete metadata, or be temporarily unreachable. A missing picture is not by itself proof that the link is broken. Check the URL and open the destination if appropriate. In Quick Share, an unavailable preview does not by itself block sharing.

What refresh does not change

Refresh updates MediaFox’s fetched preview. It does not rewrite your caption, edit a published social post, or clear another service’s cached preview. If the wrong URL is in the content, edit the eligible post field; if the website’s metadata is wrong, ask the website owner to correct it.
