Understand post origins
Find out where a post came from and why some controls differ.
Core
Overview
Origin describes how content entered MediaFox. State describes what is happening to it now. For example, a bulk-generated post can be pending or posted.
Origins you may see
- MediaFox: created directly in the planner.
- External: discovered from a connected platform rather than created here.
- Bulk, RSS, or Evergreen: generated through the corresponding workflow.
- Crossposting or repost: linked to another post or a platform sharing action.
Why origin matters
External or reposted content may not expose the same editing fields as an original MediaFox draft. Check related-post tabs and use origin filters in Search when you need to separate imported content from planned campaigns.
