Save a draft versus publish

Keep work in progress separate from the version visitors see.

Overview

Save draft stores your editing work. Publish creates a new public revision from the prepared content. A saved draft alone does not replace an existing published page.

Choose the right action

  1. Save unfinished work

Use Save draft and wait for success before navigating away. Follow any unsaved-change warning.

  2. Publish ready changes

Review public text, items, timing, and redirects, then publish. Open the public URL to check the result.

  3. Handle concurrent edits

If MediaFox reports another change, note your unsaved work, reload the current version, and reapply changes deliberately.

Some changes are independent

Custom URL reservations and shared Short Link targets have their own effects. The Add to Link Tree shortcut in Post Details can also update a published tree immediately. Do not assume every action elsewhere is isolated simply because your composer changes remain in a draft.

Availability and access

Availability depends on your organization access and assigned permissions.
