Post state

Post state tells you where a post is in the preparation and publishing workflow.

Overview

Read the state before choosing an action. A pending post, a post currently publishing, and a failed post need different handling.

State meanings

  • Draft: unfinished saved content. In review: awaiting an approval decision.
  • Pending: queued for publishing. Being posted: publication is in progress.
  • Posted: publication was recorded. Failed: the attempt needs investigation.
  • Deleted: the recorded deletion state; check the action result for its scope.
  • Unavailable: no longer accessible through the platform connection; retained statistics remain, but automatic insight updates stop.

State is different from origin

A bulk-generated post can be pending or posted. Its origin explains how it was created, while state explains its current progress.

Availability and access

Availability depends on your organization access and assigned permissions.
