How public Link Tree addresses behave

Understand parallel addresses, redirects, and unavailable-page responses.

Overview

Generated and active custom tree addresses can lead to the same published page. An enabled redirect sends visitors to its destination instead of displaying that page.

Unavailable addresses

  • 404 Not Found means the requested public address was not found or is not a published page.
  • 410 Gone means the identifier was permanently retired or its tree was deleted.
  • Retired and deleted identifiers are never released for reuse.

Check the complete URL

Copy an active address from the tree’s interface. Public status messages can follow browser language and currently have English and German wording, independently of your signed-in MediaFox language.

Availability and access

Availability depends on your organization access and assigned permissions.
