Edit a pending post from Post Details
Update an editable post before publishing starts.
Overview
Pending posts can expose inline text or schedule controls and a full-editor action. You need post-edit access, and some platform fields remain locked.
Make the change
- Open the pending post
Find it in Calendar or Search and confirm that publishing has not started.
- Edit the required field
Use an available inline control or open Post Planner for broader changes. Review the saved content and selected page.
- Save and verify
Wait for success, then check the new time, copy, and state in Post Details.
A field is locked
Do not assume opening the full editor will make every field editable. The platform, post type, and publishing state determine which changes are allowed.
