Resumen
A Short Link is a compact address that redirects to a destination. It can have a generated key and custom addresses that work in parallel.
Short Link terms
- Destination: the target URL. Source: the feature that created or owns it.
- Generated key: the permanent generated identifier for the link.
- Custom slug: a recognizable claimed identifier. Historical alias: an earlier custom address.
- Health: the result of a destination check. Click: recorded activity through the link.
Permanent retirement
Deleting a link or retiring an alias makes the affected addresses return 410 Gone. They are not released for reuse, even if you later create a similar destination.
